This really has nothing to do with formal writing or English
writing, but I love writing songs. I miss the days where I had
enough time to sit and play my guitar and write my feelings into
a song. I always feel that music is such a great way to communicate
and it's so easy just to let yourself out with chords and beats.
It's almost easier for me to write a song explaining how I feel instead
of just saying it. Words seem so boring until you get a guitar strumming
to them. Haha. I mean, I could write a song about how I want to eat
cereal, but I have no groceries. It still would be more interesting there
instead of writing it on paper. Music writing just seems so beautiful
even if it the words are lame. I mean for goodness sake, Lady Gaga
talks about a disco stick and people love that song for it! Music writing
is just so powerful!

I didn't know you played guitar! That is so cool and an amazing way to express yourself! Music sometimes is just the ticket to truly saying how you feel. You know, this reminds me of my boyfriend. He is picking up guitar and it is so cute when he sings about me...of course he is just randomly strumming and sort of screaming words to make me laugh. It's kind of a joke but you know, that is how he expresses himself and everyone expresses themself in a different and unique way! Make time to keep song writing okay? :)

ReplyDeleteYes music is very powerful!!! Like you said having a beat to express yourself to makes it much more interesting than just straight up telling someone how you feel. I wish I was more musically inclined. Even at the age of two my daughter is very interested in music so I definitely encourage that.
ReplyDeleteI love writing songs. The feeling of completing a song is amazing! I was jamming the other day and came up with a riff and some lyrics. I hadn't wrote a song since this summer and it felt so good to get back into the flow of things. Music is the best thing in this world. I dont know what I would do without it.
